Not because we wanted to fool you, but because we wanted you to actually pay attention to what disciplined investing looks like, what real risk-taking looks like, and what generational compounding does to a dollar left alone for forty years.

So here’s the deal, stated plainly:

Willie started with railroad wages and a hunch in the depths of the Depression. He bought the cash-flowing essentials nobody wanted and the land they couldn’t make more of, and he let time do the rest.

But the part of Willie we built the company around isn’t the money. It’s what he did with it: earn your fortune, then give some back.He gave most of his away in his lifetime and deliberately didn’t leave his kids a pile to coast on — which is exactly why Walt still works at 63 and Chase has a hundred grand instead of ten million. They have to earn it. So do we.
